Shannon Englert
Violin, Prelude, Montessori Private Academy
Shannon graduated from Wheaton Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, studying both the piano and violin. After graduation Shannon returned to Rockford and spent five years teaching elementary general music in the Rockford Public Schools. She is currently the music teacher at Montessori Private Academy through a Music Academy partner program and teaches Suzuki violin at the academy. As an alumni of the Music Academy it is a joy to be able to join in the training of the next generation of musicians.
Shannon is active in music in the community through performing in community ensembles, accompanying throughout the area, and as a church musician. She is also an active member of the Greater Rockford Music Teachers Association. Her family resides in Byron, IL.
