Julie Badowski
One of Miss Julie’s first memories is watching someone play the piano in church and deciding that’s what she wanted to do with her life. Her mom started teaching her piano when she was four years old and piano has been a driving force in her life ever since. She earned a BA in Music Ministry with a minor in piano pedagogy from Judson University. While in college, she started teaching with their community music school and fell in love with teaching. After graduation, she moved back to Rockford and has taught in a variety of contexts in the area both in person and online. She also spent some time as a church music director and as a substitute accompanist in a couple of churches. Though she does enjoy performing, her main focus has been helping students grow in confidence as musicians and love playing the piano.
She is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) who works in a telehealth practice helping to educate clients on how to regain and maintain their health through food and healthy lifestyle habits.
