Lillian Gonzalez

Suzuki Piano

Lillian Gonzalez began traditional piano lessons at the age of 6 with her mother, former Music Academy teacher Betsy Dvorak, and went on to study with Dr. Timothy Ehlen at the University of Illinois and Dr. William Goldenberg at Northern Illinois University.

She began violin studies at age 5, and later became a Suzuki violin student with Rachel Handlin at the Music Academy, of which she is a proud alumni. She also studied classical voice with Beth Frederickson for 6 years.

Throughout the years, Lillian has been involved in many musical events and trainings. She attended both St. Olaf’s Summer Piano Academy and Indiana University’s Piano Academy. She has accompanied for her school choir, played in the Music Academy’s Measure 5 String Ensemble, won the Jean Coppeletti “Joy and Inspiration” award for voice, and taken classes in collaborative piano. She also attended the Montecito International Music Festival in 2016 for piano.

Lillian has recently completed her Suzuki Piano Book 1 training. She is passionate about helping children grow and develop their full potential through music. She hopes music will be a lifelong source of love and joy for all her students. She especially enjoys sharing her love of music with her three year old son!
