Ella Caswell

Suzuki Piano, Violin, Viola, Starmakers Piano Class

Ella Caswell graduated with a B.A. in music from Thomas Edison State University. She studied at Valley City State University in North Dakota with Dr. Eugene Alcalay and Dr. Elaina Burns at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Ella performed multiple times in the UW Platteville Honors Recital, won the Senior Piano division of the Chandler Star Miller Scholarship Competition in 2013 and won the University of Wisconsin-PlattevilleConcerto/Aria Competition in 2012 performing Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major (first movement) with the UW-Platteville Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Thomas Dickey in 2013.

Ella also plays viola, has taken lessons from Hui Wang at The Music Academy, and is currently studying with Brandon Lamm. Ella has played in the UW-Platteville Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Northern Illinois, the Rock Valley College Orchestra, and ensembles in the Rockford area. She helped start and run the Northern Illinois Christian Youth Orchestra with her family, currently in its 8th season.

The Music Academy has been instrumental in developing musical skills and gifts in the Caswell family, and Ella is excited to be able to give back and be a part of the Music Academy’s mission! Ella has taught traditional students and is recently certified in piano Suzuki book 1. Ella loves connecting with and helping music students achieve their musical and developmental goals.  In addition to music, Ella loves playing and coaching volleyball, teaching downhill skiing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
