Brandon Lamm

Suzuki Violin, Viola, Vivaldi Orchestra

Brandon Lamm is a Music Academy alumnus - a former student of Hui Wang.  Brandon received his Bachelor's of Music Education from Northern Illinois University in 2007, studying under Ann Montzka-Smelser, and taught public school orchestra and strings in Rockford and his alma mater Freeport High School for ten years.  With Suzuki teacher training on violin, he began teaching at the Music Academy in 2017, where he takes students on violin and viola, and directs the Vivaldi orchestra and other group classes.  He plays regularly with the Rockford Symphony and other ensembles in the area, directs the Highland Community College Orchestra, and runs an instrument supply and repair shop.  He lives in Freeport with his wife, Hannah, another Music Academy alum and professional violist, and their four musical children.
