Our Philosophy

Music is an art form.

If students bring that art form to a very high level, it will affect everything else they do. Parents often tell us that because their child has learned to overcome difficult tasks in music instruction, they are better equipped for all of their other life activities. What we hope to achieve in our music instruction is to instill in all children a love of music. The training is not to produce great artists, but to help every child find the joy that comes through music-making.

At the Music Academy children thrive in an environment of support; they develop confidence and positive self-esteem, determination to try difficult things, demonstrate self-discipline and concentration, as well as a lasting enjoyment that comes from the sensitivity and skill at making music.
